I am a creative and technology-savvy university student with a background in information technologies, networking and computer repair, which is blended with graphic arts experience and a personal interest in fictional writing in both prose and poetry, photography, and music. My recent focus is on acquiring knowledge and certification in the field of computers, while gaining experience in human networking.

I poses a natural aptitude for gathering necessary information and forming relationships with peers and elders. I have learned the skill of forming ideas quickly, while being flexible enough to restructure old ideas based on new information. My initiative in solving problems ignored by others has often led to financial gain and potential.

Objective

I am hoping to find a job that will be mutually beneficial to my employer to be, and myself. My current circumstances as an international student, currently attending university, restrict me to having a job which allows me to work on campus (at the address stated). The job would also have to be in my field of study, Computer Science, and allow for flexible schedules.

I am willing to earn my keep by keeping on track with my workload as defined by those set in charge of me, and collaborate with others to bring about that goal. I bring to any company, or client, willing to hire me the promise of learning and advancing to meet their needs, and the honesty to admit if I am incapable of adequately fulfilling a job offer.

Position: Videographer

I am responsible for digitizing several tutorial series to be used a online course material and DVD distribution from their from as DV tapes. This involves: capturing video and audio onto computer workstation, doing minor edits, segmenting the video into appropriate portions, encoding/compressing the resulting files for medium bandwidth internet distribution, and also production of complete DVD disks.

Position: Partner

A colleague and myself organized ourselves into a two man team to provide webmastering services, software design and networking solutions to local businessmen. To a lesser extent, we also did computer repair for individuals.

Our computer solutions were centered around Linux on both the workstation and server, and Windows on the desktop and workstation. My executive duties were in the area of customer relations and finance.

September 2003 - June 2005

Saint Mary's Academy Turkey Lane, Roseau, Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies.

Position: Teacher

My responsibilities included the preparing of two classes for the CXC Examinations: Physics and Mathematics. I was also responsible for the teaching of the same subjects at lower grade levels. I utilized my web mastering knowledge by setting up several web pages for the students: a login page, an article page (which indexed several relevant or interesting scientific articles I found on the internet, and a page which detailed their laboratory work.

Summer 2003

Position: Programming Tutor

A colleague and myself organized two classes of approximately eight high school students each, into a summer programming course to be taught by ourselves. The objective of the course was the prepare students for their programming course to follow. The language taught was Pascal using Borland Turbo Pascal as the integrated development environment.
